about

In his first "Sketches of Olympus" album, Dandelion Head looks back to his growth as an artist in Olympia, WA. The songs are what he considers to be his most important work in that five year span, songs that represent different periods of work, different seasons of the heart, different working practices. The tracks begin a little over four years ago when he first took on the mantle of Dandelion Head, a childhood name, and stretch to as recent as this year when he arrived back in California. The album is extremely varied sonically, and often times two songs which were created years apart are placed back to back in the albums context. It was arranged with the full listening experience in mind and flows something like the seasons of the Northwest where much of the album was created.
